Assistant Manager, Audit
What you will be doing
- Overseeing the preparation of audit files by trainees and completing some high-risk sections of audit files
- Escalating potential audit issues to audit directors
- Acting as a point of contact for various internal and external parties including administrators, investment managers, board of directors etc.
- Assisting directors and partners with ad hoc audit and regulatory advisory projects
- Researching technical queries on accounting and auditing standards
- Leading a team or a number of individuals while simultaneously delivering multiple assignments to a diverse client-base
- Training, supporting and mentoring team members in their development
What will you need
- Qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Experience in working in a large audit/financial reporting environment (Big 4 or top 10 experience a plus)
- Experience in the financial services industry, working in audit specifically is a plus
- Ability to foster trusted relationships with our clients, combined with strong commercial expertise
- Excellent technical skills with a strong detail attention
- Team player with strong communication and leaderships skills
- Experience using CaseWare audit software preferable but not essential
- Role model within the team setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self-development
