Assistant Manager Financial Reporting
What you will be doing
As a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager, you will:
- Prepare and review financial statements for investment funds and other financial entities under US GAAP, IFRS, and other local GAAPs.
- Manage or assist in managing the financial reporting process, liaising with auditors, administrators, and investment managers.
- Take ownership of meeting challenging deadlines and delivering work to the highest standards.
- Support senior management on ad hoc financial reporting and regulatory advisory projects.
- Research technical accounting standards and resolve complex queries.
- Build strong client relationships and proactively address future workloads.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Review and edit financial documents for accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
- Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining communication across the team.
- Travel internationally and work on diverse projects as opportunities arise.
- Contribute to business development and the expansion of our Cork City office.
What will you need
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Hold an ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification (or are nearly qualified).
- Have 3+ years of financial reporting/audit experience in investment funds or a financial services environment.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, proofreading skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.
- Are proficient in MS Office; experience with DataSnipper is a plus.
- Are skilled in team collaboration, mentoring, and prioritizing work under tight deadlines.
- Have a proactive approach to professional development and client service.
