Associate, Management Accounts

Contract(3.5 years), full-time, Limerick

What you will be doing

  • Preparing periodic sets of management accounts (monthly/quarterly/annually)
  • Interacting with client at all stages of the accounts preparation and approval process
  • Using accounting packages for the maintenance of books and records including XERO/Sage/Relate/Oracle
  • Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with the auditors and clients
  • Liaising with the financial reporting team in DM Financial where their services are engaged
  • Collaborating with client company secretaries and tax teams to effectively meet client deliverables
  • Analysing management accounts, financial statements and client business plans
  • Learning about and gaining a deep understanding   client’s business, assisting with new transactions and applying accounting techniques to capture the transactions
  • Researching technical queries on IFRS/FRS 102 and other accounting standards

What will you need

  • Related Honours degree  
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to plan, prioritise between tasks and adhere to strict time deadlines 
  • Ability to work on own initiative 
  • Some industry experience in an accounting role would be an advantage 
  • Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles would be an advantage 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 
  • A keen interest in learning and in career progression 
  • Legal right to work in Ireland
