Since 2007 DM has been doing more for our clients. DM is an independent financial services company based in Ireland with offices in Singapore, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, the UK and the Cayman Islands.
DM was formed in 2007 with offices in Limerick and Bantry, Ireland, providing financial reporting services – primarily IFRS reporting to investment funds. Over the following years, our reporting services expanded – incorporating US GAAP and other GAAP reporting – to meet the evolving needs and demands of our clients.
In 2012, DM enhanced our core service lines adding specialised management accounting, corporate secretarial and taxation compliance services. Our footprint expanded to Asia in 2015 when we opened our Singapore office. In 2018, DM developed a cross-jurisdictional liquidation service for investment funds and SPV’s.
Early in 2021, DM entered the Cayman Islands market establishing our George Town office. And in mid-2021 growth investor Synova partnered with the DM team accelerating our expansion. October 2022 saw DM partner with Solutional in the Netherlands welcoming 35 additional team members and broadening our service offerings to include internal audit, regulatory compliance and consultancy. In January 2023, we opened our Bulgarian office in Sofia, adding a specialist team dedicated to supporting clients’ financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
As an independent financial services company, DM’s headquarters remain in Ireland with offices in Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, Bulgaria and the Cayman Islands.

Trading Commences
- Trading starts, offering financial reporting services from two offices in Limerick City and Bantry, Ireland.
2011
New Services
- Complementary services offered including management accounting and corporate secretarial
2015
Growth in Services
- Services portfolio further expanded to offer taxation compliance and liquidation services
2017
Expansion to Asia
- Asia business is incorporated
2018
Growth in Asia
- The group expands its presence in Asia, hiring 5 staff in Singapore
2020
Launch in Cayman
- Our new Cayman Islands business is incorporated
- DM see strong growth from its blue-chip client base in what is its strongest financial period to date
- October sees further expansion in Ireland with the opening of new Cork City office
2021
Synova Invests
- January saw the establishment of our Cayman office in George Town.
- June: Growth investor Synova partners to accelerate expansion
2022
New DM Brand
- April: Company launches new DM brand
- May : Opening of new Singapore office at TripleOne Somerset. Staff numbers in Singapore now reach 40
- October: Partner with Solutional in The Netherlands, welcoming a further 35 team members and expanding our service lines
2023
New Office in Bulgaria
- January: DM Financial (Bulgaria) EOOD is incorporated expanding our global reach and adding a further 5 team members

Deirdre Collins
Head of Regulatory and Compliance
Deirdre joined DM in 2007 and is based in our Limerick office. Deirdre has extensive fund experience and has an expert, deep and technical knowledge of IFRS. She was a Director of Financial Reporting within DM before taking up her current role as Head of Regulatory & Compliance at DM. Deirdre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Law from University College Dublin and is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant.
Eoin Kennedy
Chief Financial Officer
Eoin joined DM as Chief Financial Officer in 2021. Eoin commenced his career with Deloitte Dublin and subsequently worked with Deloitte London as an Assistant Director in Corporate Finance Advisory. Prior to joining DM, Eoin was a Director in the Corporate team at Investec. Eoin is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Helen Philpott
Head of International Operations
Helen joined DM in 2010 and as our Head of International Operations is integral to every aspect of DM, from the big picture to the day-to-day. Helen works closely with the leadership team in supporting operations across the Group. Prior to joining DM, Helen held senior roles at Galileo Ireland, Formus Ireland and was Marketing Director at WorldCom Ireland. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
Ian Doran
CEO
Leading DM since its inception in 2007, Ian brings a wealth of multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary experience from across the financial services sector. Ian specialises in IFRS financial reporting for investment funds and has extensive experience in complex insolvency work. Prior to founding DM Ian held roles with Arthur Andersen and KPMG. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law & Accounting from the University of Limerick and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin. Ian is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Paul Elliott
Chairman
With over 30 years of experience across the financial spectrum Paul brings to DM a wealth of insight, commercial experience and business knowledge. Paul has previously held positions with EY, was CEO of a successful private equity backed business in consumer finance and insurance brokering and was also global COO of a major microfinance network operating over 30 countries. Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Owen Doran
Board Member / Principal
Owen is a founding member of DM and has over 15 years’ experience in financial reporting, specialising in the highly technical aspects of reporting with an emphasis on IFRS and regulated funds. Prior to joining DM, Owen was an Actuarial Consultant with Mercer Ireland. Owen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from Dublin City University.
Matthew Trotter
Services Director
Based in our Limerick office, Matthew joined DM in 2023 as Services Director. Matthew brings a wealth of experience to his role with over 20 years senior leadership experience in Asia Pacific, Europe, UK and US and having worked across multiple industry sectors including financial services, healthcare, digital education and energy and commodities. Matthew qualified as a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Denis O’Connor
Head Of Finance
Based in our Limerick office, Denis joined DM as Head of Finance in June 2023 from Tomra, a multi-national manufacturing firm. Having trained with Deloitte and worked across a broad range of industries, Denis specialises in financial management, internal controls, financial analysis, statutory reporting, and systems implementation. Denis graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Master in Accounting from University College, Cork and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Aileen Keating
HR Specialist
Aileen Keating is an experienced HR professional, holding a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from University College Cork. Aileen joined DM from the Irish Defence Forces, where she worked for over 21 years. Aileen brings expertise in HR management, focusing on talent development, training coordination, and regulatory compliance. Her track record includes supporting senior leaders, fostering inclusive cultures and driving organisational learning, highlighting her commitment to excellence in HR management.
James Lloyd
Head of Financial Reporting
Head of our Limerick office, James joined DM in 2009 and specialises in IFRS and US GAAP financial reporting, focused on investment funds.
Having worked at various levels of the DM business, James brings his wealth of knowledge on all aspects of financial reporting.
Prior to his current role as Head of Financial Reporting, James spent 5 years in Singapore building the DM office and service offering. James also worked for a number of years with Deloitte London and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
